I'm creating a slide show with 250 pictures from Hawaii, i'm using the default resolution for there sizes that PP recommends. The problem is the files size is near 300 megabytes and i don't know why? Is there a way to link files instead or a way to keep the file size down for large picture presentations? ANy help would be great!!
Thanks

If you have PowerPoint 2002 or 2003, you could compress the images. Look
here:

When you
"insert > picture > From file" their is a little known feature tick box thing

called "link to file"

It links pictures.

The only problem you may find is if you move the pictures to another folder
or email the presentation....then powerpoint will not be able to find the linked pictures
