Linking acess tables on a 24/7 show

I have an access table with tons of information on aircraft maintenance
status. I have created a query to sort out all the info that I don't need
for my presentation. What I would like to do is show this information in
real time on a slide show that runs 24/7.

I have attempted to link the access query to excel with good results. It
will show all the information I need and automatically update. However, when
I link this excel file to powerpoint I get #n/a in all fields when the data
changes. To solve this I embedded the excel file in the slide. I no longer
get the errors but now it will not automatically update.

What I need is for the the access query to show on a looping slide show.
The info in the access table is changed very very often. The show needs to
show the most current information with little or no user input and the show
can not be ended. Is this possible?

The show is 4 to 6 slides. Mouseovers and clicks are ok but the more
automation the better.

Extra credit: Is it possible to change how often excel or PPT checks source
files for changes? If so, how?

Thank you
