Can a Link be activated if its saved in Picture format ?

I saved a document done in Excel as a picture in PowerPoint because I did not
want to double click on the information while in a Power Point slide and have
the excel sheet showing. I saved the document as a Picture but the links are
not functioning. Is it possible to activate links when saved as Picture ?

What kind of links are they? When saved as a picture, nothing can be clicked.
If you want the links to be working, you will need to have it inserted as an
object.

If you insert the link as an Object, what Object Type would I need to choose
? The link was imported from Word then into Excell then saved as a picture
in PowerPoint.
