Whats the best way of linking an already created database to the contacts in
outlook so that when access is updated, so is outlook and vice verca, ive
managed to import access information to outlook but that doesnt self update,
and ive managed to get a table into access with the outlook information, but
im unable to link that to my established database

I don't think you can do that - is there a reason you are duplicating the
information. If it is for mailing etc you might be better to store in 1 or
the other and use Word mail merge when you want to mail/e-mail.

If you want the contact data automatically synchronized in both Access and
Outlook, you don't export/import anything - you link an Outlook Contact
Folder to Access. Access sees, uses, updates the actual Outlook Folder. It
takes the place of the table that formerly held your contact information.
