Linked Tables failure; Access 2003

Access 2003
MSDE 2000 SP3a

PostgreSQL 7.3.4 on SCO OpenServer 5.0.7
psqlodbc 7.03.02.00 ODBC driver

Unify 6.0 on SCO OpenServer 5.0.7
old ODBC driver from Win NT era (still works)

Can create linked table or import data from table in a database on either
the Unify or PostgreSQL server from within an Access database.

Import works within an Access project, with similar steps as an Access
database, but linked table creation to either server fails, either with
linked server or Transact-SQL query options.

The connections can be created, but "This data source has no visible tables"
error occurs when the connection is used, even though a specific table was
specified when the connection was created.

Linking to a linked table to these servers previously created in an Access
database works, but is incredibly slow, as expected.

Thanks,
