Linked Table not showing all data

I have a linked table in my database because I was getting and error
everytime I tried to import the table. Now I have about 4 columns of data in
the linked table missing completely. The data in the excel file is perfectly
fine, its just not showing up in the access linked table. What is going on.
Thanks

I presume you're doing something wrong. Since you don't describe the steps
that you took, anything about the nature of the data, or how the table is
linked, it's a bit hard to say what.

I took the normal steps of linking a table in access. File, Get External
Data,Link Tables... Everything else show in the table except for these 4
column and they are all text coulmns

The table is in Excel, right? How many columns wide (if it's over 255 you will
only see the first 255)? Is it the last four columns? Anything unusual about
the data? Is there in fact text in at least one of the first eight rows?

There are about 35 columns in the table and the four columns are in the
middle of the table. There is really nothing I can see that is unsual about
the data. The columns all contain text and each column pretty much contains
the same text through out.

Wierd. Have you tried deleting the link; turning off Name Autocorrect (if it's
on); compacting the database; and relinking?

If the data isn't confidential, I'd be willing to take a look at it. Zip the
spreadsheet and email it to me at jvinson <at> wysard of info <dot> com if
you're interested.
