importing a linked table from one file to another as a local table

Laoballer

I've searched for hours now and have not found a solution to my
problem. What I'm trying to do is import a linked table in another
access database to another access database as a local table instead of
a linked table. I've tried the get external data, import feature in
access to try to get the table but it just shows up as another linked
table. I want it to be a local table. I'm using access 2002

Thanks,

Laoballer,

Trying to import a link is only going to get you a link. (It's like trying
to import a shadow. The data is not at the location it's only a shadow of
the original location.) You would need to import from the actual data
source to get the actual data.

Is there a way to use vba to import the linked table data from my
source access file to my destination access file having the same table
name and structure and not be a linked table? I'm trying to do this
so I can view the data when I'm offline.

Thanks,
