Linked excel charts, changing filenames generates exception

Pointing at the microsoft.public.office.developer.automatic newsgroup, I put two questions there, and then realized this is much heavier trafficed, but dont want to cross-post the same thing :) as its usually not appreciated.

Subjects are:
(1) Excel chart link labels, and there problems
(2) Linked objects change size
 
OK, so I'm a basket case, I'm been programming too long today, I cross posted after noticing the advanced option offers it :)
