Link to .pdf file that does not work

I have created a link in my web to a .pdf file. In Normal view I can Crtl
and click to check the line works, which it does. However, the link will not
work in Preview. I have checked the website from my browser. When I click
on the link, it does not appear - just that little 'square coloured box'. I
have double checked my link source etc, everything seems OK but I cannot get
the actual link to work. Has anyone come across this problem before?t

Does it work in Preview In Browser?
Also, make sure you have the pdf "inside" your FP web first (Import it).

I couldn't put the pdf file in a folder. My pdf had to be in the main fold to
work.

As long as it has been imported into the web, it can be in the root of the web or a folder under the
root.

We have hundreds of pdf files in subdirectories, using fp2003.
