link slides from different shows

Hello,

I am creating a powerpoint slideshow that uses different presentations in
different files. Well I am trying to link only certain slides from a
different .ppt presentation and have them automatically update in the main
slideshow, kinda like "insert; slides from file; browse; slideshow.ppt; then
select one or two slides out of five slides" but automatically.

I just can't figure it out and i was just wondering if anyone knew how to do
this. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

Gabe,
You can hyperlink to any specific slide in another presentation. When you
click the hyperlink, you'll go to that slide. When you're done with that
slide or as many slides as you want, press Esc, which will close that other
presentation and return you to the current slide in your main presentation.

To set that up, select an object and choose Insert > Hyperlink. In the
Insert Hyperlink dialog box, choose Existing File or Web page and navigate to
the presentation. Then click the Bookmark button and you'll be able to choose
a specific slide in the presentation. (For easy choosing, make sure the
slides have titles.)
