Link Docs&Settings folder to Login

I have a user who already has settings in Documents and Settings.

I had to delete and recreate his user account on the domain.

Now his computer creates a new folder in documents and settings for his user
account at every login.

How can I make his computer link to the existing folder?
(I have already tried renaming both and deleting all the undesirables.)

move the contents of the old folder to the new one created and delete the old
one. end of problem.
