link buttons problem

I have tried to configure my computer through control panel settings, display
and other options. I have been unsuccessful by trying to remove the five
blank link buttons at the bottom right corner of the internet window.
My mouse won't even click and drag; as hard as I try I can't delete the
blank buttons.
The buttons are in the way of all my internet pages loading.
It is not a computer manufacture problem.
Help!!!!

Paste the following line into Start | Run and click OK...

%userprofile%\Favorites\Links

See if you can delete them from there.
