I have link bars based on the navigation structure of my
web, and when I navigate the site in IE, it opens new
windows when I click on a link bar link. Anyone know how
to make it open in the same window and not a new one?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

This is normally caused by having a base target of _blank

Right click on the page | Page Properties | click on Target | Remove the
default target.

When I click on a link bar, it's open in same window. How can I make it open in new window? Man! this is confused....

When using FP navigation components, you can not set a frame target value.
This is one of the drawback to using FP navigation components.

I was having just the opposite problem, but it may have
something to do with your 'default target frame' in your
page properties.

Right click on the page | Page Properties | Default
Target Frame.

click on the ...button to browse. Select 'New Window'.
Republish your pages and see if that works for you.
