Link and Emial Autolink multiple records

I recently installed BCM 2007 and enabled the Email Auto Link feature for
several business contacts. When I tried to highlight multiple messages and
use the Link to Records feature the option is greyed out, hence i can not
link them to the business contact without doing them one by one. I also
tried to highlight multiple messages to add the email addresses of the
recipients as contact and enable auto link for them in bulk from messages
previously sent.

While I have used the search and link function, i want to target certain
contacts and link those immediately versus waiting until i import/setup all
accounts and contacts.

Does a work around exists?

Thank you for you assistance.

How do you do this to select multiple emails for linking to one contact? I
can see how to use search & link to find a contact to link a message to, but
not how to link several messages to one contact.
