Lines in Word

How do I remove a hrizontal line I insered in Word text?

Select the paragraphs surrounding the lines and then, on the Format
menu, click Borders and Shading. Click the Borders tab. Click the
"None" option (even if it already seems to be active), and then click
OK.

Alternatively, select the paragraph(s) and press Ctrl+Q. Note that
this command removes any paragraph formatting not in style.

If you inserted the line for example by typing some asterisks in the
text and then pressing Enter, see also:

Note that if you inserted the line as an autoshape, you should be able
to click on it and press Delete to get rid of it.
