Line Spacing in 2007

Brandon

Every time I hit the enter key, Word 2007 takes me down 2 lines instead of 1
line like it used to. Is there a way to change this option?

Check on the ribbon. There is a style called, I think, no space. The normal
style now has extra space added to the return. You can see this in the
Paragraph dialog box.

It probably doesn't. More likely it is adding inter-paragraph spacing. Check
the format of the paragraph style at the cursor and remove any space
before/space after setting.

If you want the "true fix", which modifies the defaults for your Normal
template, use the following steps:

- Create a new document based on your Normal template
- On the Home tab, click the dialog box launcher in the Styles group to
display the Styles task pane.
- At the bottom of the Styles task pane, click Manage Styles.
- Select the Set Defaults tab and modify your Line and Paragraph spacing.
- Select the option, New Documents Based on This Template, and click OK.

Thanks. You're both right. Both methods fixed the problem.
