Line Numbers

I have a document that has line numbers showing 38 lines one page 39 lines on
the next. Is there a way I can diplay lines 1-40 on every page?
 
Document? MS Access does not have documents. It has reports, queries,
forms, and tables. If you are using MS Access, then tell us what type of
object you have. If this is not MS Access, then you are in the wrong
newsgroup.
