Line /Column Charts

Forget the limited "built-in custom" chart types. Make the chart with
three line series, then select just the series you want as a column, and
use Chart Type from the Chart menu to change it.

Assuming your data begins in column A below:

c1 c2 c3
A 4 6 5
B 3 4 6
C 4 5 4
D 5 3 3

Create a clustered column chart

Click once on the data for c3
Go to the standard toolbar and select Chart -> Chart Type -> Line

Click once on the data for c2
Go to the standard toolbar and select Chart -> Chart Type -> Line
