Line Breaks OL2000 vs. OL2002...?

Howdy,

In OL2002 some messages appear with a band at the top that
says (something like) "Extra line breaks were removed...
click here if you wish to restore them." This has proven to
be extremely useful for certain messages in a format that I
receive regularly.

Can "restoring" the line breaks be set as the default? How
might that be done?

Also, is there some similar functionality in OL2000? If so,
how can I access it?

Try Tools | Options | Prefs. tab | Email Options. (There is a checkbox
about removing extra line breaks.)

This feature was introduced in Outlook 2002.
