I mistakenly set up the first user account on my computer as a limited one
and now am not able to create new user accounts or do much of anyhting. How
can I start over?

Hi Liz,
Try this. When the PC starts after the bios stuff but before Windows begins
to boot rapidly press the F8 key, this should cause a menu screen to appear.
With the keyboard select the option called Safe Mode. When you arrive at the
login screen type administrator but leave the password field empty. With any
luck the administrative password will not have been set by whoever assembled
your computer. If the system lets you in, go into control panel open the
applet for groups and users and under the name you normally login with
adjust the account to give you full privlidges ie join the administrators
group. You should then be able to logon when windows xp starts normally.

hii you can set ur windows without atleast one admin account try this at
login windows without loggin in with ur regular account press alt ctrl del u
shd see an alternate windows login box enter administator and keep the
password feild blank that shd do it enter and u will login
its not advisable to keep ur admin account with a password upgrade ur
limited account and place a password for the default account.
