Limited or no connectivity

Turn off all the computers. Remove power from the Linksys router and the DSL
modem. After 30 seconds plug in the DSL modem and allow it to initialize.
Then power up the router and allow IT to initialize. Then turn on the
computers, one at a time, and the router will allocate new IP addresses to
each of the computers. You problem should be solved - unless you truly have
a hardware problem.

What's the exact error message? Are any of these it:

"An error occurred while renewing interface local area connection: an
operation was attempted on something that is not a socket. Unable to contact
driver Error code 2."

"The operation failed since no adapter is in the state permissible for this
operation."

"The attempted operation is not supported for the type of object
referenced."

When you bypassed the router and connected straight to the modem, did you
power down the PC and modem first, or did you just move the cable from the
router to modem?

you need to enter the router's ip address as the default gateway
Subnet mast should also be 255.255.255.0 DNS sever should also be your
router's IP address
In all honesty if you have a wireless network you should turn off DHCP as
this will allow anyone to get an IP address on your network.
Unless you are always adding and removing computers having static IPs should
not be a big deal

Ok DHCP is off and all computers are configured and working with an
assigned IP and gateway and are able to access the
internet.....except the one Ive been working on. It is on the network
and accessable by all computers but still no internet.I have mirrored
the configs on the other computers except for IP address of course
and all other computers can access the internet. The crazy thing is
this just all of a sudden happened. Working fine one minute and this
now. Is there some service that is supposed to be running that
somehow got cut off?? New NIC and cable.....baffling

Fix your date. A lot of the Internet is not available if your date is set
in the future.

Try "Uninstall" TCP/IP... reboot and then "Install" TCP/IP. (From connection
properties)

That's an amazing coincidence! I had exactly the same problem about an hour
ago. I tried rebooting the computer and router, disabling and enabling the
wireless network condition and resorted to deleting the Wireless SSID and
adding it again (along with the WEP key). I rebooted and everything is fine
now.

But OTOH, maybe the OP can experience a lot of the what is available on
the internet in the future that isn't available today. <BG>

Rebooted everything-still getting limited or no connectivity-upon trying to
renew I get:

requested service provider could not be loaded or initialized. I get this
wether Im plugged into router or DSL modem. I attemted to manually give IP
address and gateway and all and can access the network but I cant access the
internet. All network hardware has been replaced
