Limited or no Connectivity

I have lost local and wireless connectivity on my Gateway
200x. The local icon has a yellow flag that says limited
or no connectivity. When I try to repair I get a message
that the network did not assign a network address and it
could not renew the IP address. The IP address is wrong
but I do not know how to change it.

The wireless network is not being detected. It is being
picked up by another computer in the house. The one not
working is right beside the router.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Got any firewalls?.......uninstall them
If it's wireless.....plug it in and see if you get an IP
any recent hard/software changes?
start> run> cmd> ok> ipconfig /release, and
ipconfig /renew, and ipconfig /all basically all you need
for that.
are the cards in device manager?
HTH.
