Limited Connectibility

I recently bought 2 brand new compaq presarios. Both have same specs:

Windows Xp Home
AMD Athlon 3500+
256 MB ram
etc.

I added them both to the network and the icon in the task bar popped up with
a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. It said: limited or no
connectibility
It still works with the network but has problems on and off and is not
dependable.
I right clicked on the icon and click repair, but it can't finish because it
has a problem "renewing IP address". Please help if you can

You may want to re-configure the NIC speed. or download a new driver. this link may help,
