Limited Access Laptop

I have a company laptop, that has Windows XP on it, but I am severly
restricted in what I can / cannot do on it. For exmaple, I cannot
change the screensaver, which is defaulted to logon.scr. OK, it's an
alright screensaver, but it's a bit boring!

I don't want to change it to anything risque or something
inappropriate. I just want to use one of the other supplied MS
screensavers.

Is there a way to do it? I don't have access to the registry...the
screensaver option has been disabled / greyed out in the display
properties window.

Anything I can do?

You should discuss your requirements with your IT Department
or ask your manager to take this up with the IT Department on
your behalf.

No, there is nothing you can do. Your laptop has been configured by your
IT Dept. for optimum security. Screensavers are actually small programs
and a known vector for infection. If your laptop becomes infected with a
network-aware worm because you downloaded some "cute screensaver", you
will infect your entire company network and server(s). Recovery costs
will be staggeringly high.
If this is really important to you, then speak to your IT Dept.
