limit of the NTFS partition.Whethere it is Boot Partition or Extended Partition

Hi,
I would like to know the limit of the NTFS Partition size.
Actually, I have faced the problem while partitioning the
harddisk. The Size of the Harddisk is 250GB.But it is show
me only 128GB after partition.The harddisk manufacturer is
Maxtor.Let anyone can suggest me, what I have to do solve
my problem?

Hi, RangaRao.

The limit in NTFS is way up in the Terabyte or even Exabyte range. That's
NOT where your problem is.

Read these two articles about "big drives". You probably need a BIOS
upgrade for your computer to handle that 250 GB drive.
