Like Quickmix only different

Several days ago on one of the many forums/groups I belong to I saw a
note about a program that memorizes sound card settings like Quickmix
does. In addition it ties the settings to application programs. Thus
starting a program would also configure the sound card settings. I
either deleted this message or filed in a location unknown to me. Can
someone come up with the program name?
