Licensing re: Windows Vista Ultimate X64

I seem to be going round in circles without finding a proper answer and hope
someone can put this one to bed for me

If I purchase a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate X64, can I use te license to
downngrade to Windows Vista Ultimate X32 on the same machine if I find it
does not meet my system or needs ?

The licensing is interchangeable, Windows Vista Ultimate retail comes with
both platforms 32 and 64 bit, but you get 1 product key. You can use product
key with either, but only with one product at a time. You cannot downgrade
from 64 bit to 32 bit, clean install only. Its most likely you will also
have to reactivate by telephone.
