Licensing question

Greetings,

I'm a US citizen currently abroad. I work for a Japanese company (in Japan)
and was given a laptop for use. The problem is I can't read Japanese and it
was licensed with a Japanese Windows XP. The company is dragging their heels
getting me an English version of Windows so for the interim I have SUSE Linux
installed, but was wondering if perhaps I could expidite the process.

Could someone tell me if it is possible to 'trade' a license key for one
language in for another? I'd really prefer to be back on Windows if for
nothing else but the compatibility. Thank you.

No, you need to purchase a "Full Version" of
the English version of Windows XP and perform
a "clean install".
