We are having rather an odd (or seeming odd) issue. I
check Licensing manager even now and again and here is an
ongoing issue that is really bugging me.
Setup:
We have a Windows 2000 AD Domain (SP2)
The accounts were migrated from NT 4.0
We have Exchange 2000
We have SMS
Problem #1
I go into Licensing Manager and for some reason all teh
old domain accounts keep showing back up in licensing
manage. I keep deleting them but they keep coming back!
It makes our licensing look like crap and I hate it!
Probelm #2
ALL of our desktops keep getting licenses issued as if
they are users in our system in the form of (domain)
\(computername)#. I don't know if this is correct but I
can never get a straight answer for anyone it seems.
We have 400 Licenses for everything and about 350 users.
Exchange 2000 shows 430 which is OK
Windows NT Server shows 543
Windows Server shows 1257 (every user + old domain user +
every PC)
If anyone know why this is happening or can point me in a
direction where I can get this sorted out please let me
know.
Thanks,
J
