Licenses missing

Hi all

I have bunch of terminal servers that service a point of
sale system.

Some of the clients, both Neoware and NCD Thinstars, have
started the countdown to unlicensed doomsday. Although we
have purchased enough licenses and installed them it is
only recently that the temp licenses have been issued.

The TS License Server shows 85 licenses purchased 34
issued but none available. The temp licenses have built up
over the past 3 months.

Anyone got any idea why a License server would stop
issuing tokens to clients?

Thanks for reading. Hope some one can shed some light on
this.

Regards

Make sure:

1. The TS is contacting the TSLS
2. The TSLS & TS are in the same license mode, i.e. per user/per device

The TS are contacting the license server as they are
getting the tokens for temp licenses.

All these are in win2000 so the user/device comment doesnt
apply here, but correct me if I am wrong.

The confusing part is that 84 have been bought and 35 have
been issued but 0 are available. Any thoughts for the
reasoning for this?

Many thanks for the input.

Got it sorted Thanks fgor the help.

Procedures followed.

Called MS to reinstall Licenses but one pack failed
continually.

Called MS Tech Support who explained how to remove old
database and start a new License Server.

Started the new server, Activated and reinstalled the packs
over the net.

All works well. The Old units that had temp tokens are
expiring and then sorting themselves out on the new license
server.

All working
