Licenses for internal users

i have Win 2k clients on my network that are accessing the W2k TS that has been set up and installed in app mode. Why is an internal user getting the msg that they have three days left for the license. In the lic Mng it shows exactly that as the expire date and it is listed like all others as Temp licenses?

I just activated the server, I chose not to do complete activation dude to the fact there are no outside or remote access users. When I got that msg I activated it and it shows the above info.

Thank you

You must activate your TS Licensing Server!
The fact that your users are internal to your network / company or
not has nothing to do with it. Every client that accesses a Terminal
Server must have a TS CAL. W2K Pro and XP Pro clients get a free TS
CAL from the TS Licensing server, once the LS is activated.
Also check the EventLog on the TS to verify that the TS can locate
the LS (which must be installed on a Domain Controller if you have a
W2K domain).

Vera, does that mean the clients will correct them selves in the TSL Server and not have any interruptions now that I have activated the server

Thanks for your help

In principle, yes. Check the TS Licensing Manager to be sure. The
clients should now get a "Existing Windows 2000 TS License" in stead
of their temporary license. Also keep an eye on the EventLog on the
TS.
