This is a public newsgroup; you'll get no replies from Microsoft here. The
first link above *appears* legitimate, but I wouldn't get anywhere near the
second one. Downloadable ISO images are a sure sign of trouble. Caveat
emptor.

As Raymond mentioned, you will likely get a valid Windows CD and License from the first group. However, they may be pushing the bounds of the OEM license policy, but that is not your problem as long you have a valid license key and CD.

The second link is surely a warez outfit. You will have neither a valid license nor a legitimate CD, not to mention the problems that will almost certainly result from giving them your credit card information.

appears to be legitimate.

http://www.softmass.com/ is not legitimate.

Even the first site is questionable since they are not selling a piece
of computer hardware with the OEM software, so right off the bat, the
END User is in technical violation of the EULA.

I agree--that's why I stessed "appears." They could be supplying a hardware
item, but who knows?

I would say that Jim was feigning being dense, but being dense isn't

It is kind of hard to tell when the thread is completely
snipped. Was that a reference to high density memory or a
thick skull?

Thanks for proving my point, Jim. I'm glad to see that you haven't
changed a bit during my absence.

EDirect looks like it _might_ be legitimate, but the Megasoft site is
definitely selling illegitimate copies. No legitimate retail or OEM
versions are available for downloading.
