Earl S.

I have a situation where I need to setup multi-boot for a
workstation and have windows2k installed twice on one
machine. My understanding is that if I install Win2K a
second time under a different directory, this will give me
a multi-boot configuration. However, would I need to
purchase a second license of Win2K or would my license for
the software cover both instances?

You will need a seperate license for each installed instance of Windows.

I am not sure about it but while serching i got one KB from microsoft it
says that you can insatll office XP/2003 in dual boot with singel licence

You may install it on one machine. How many times its installed, is
immaterial.

Good Lord!!! The license cops are gonna come and get
you. WHO CARES????? you have a machine and you have a
license. So worry about something important!

Greetings --

According to the Win2K EULA, you need a separate license for each
installation.

For the record...the license states it can be reloaded
twice for the same computer.

Thanks for the MS Sales phone number.
