We purchase pc's from dell that come installed with XP
pro. However at times we upgrade these machines from
older operating systems to the newer with our VL keys and
cd's.

I have 1 machine that looks to have been installed with
the OEM cd and obviously will not accept our VL key. Is
there anyway to force a change without reinstalling the
OS?

*I can't use the OEM License as it is attached to a
current machine*

You'll need to perform a repair install using the
Windows XP VL CD and Product Key.
