License and Number of Computers

I just purchase MS Home and Student Office 2007. The cover states that this
product is licensed for only 3 computers. I plan to install this into 3
computers. However, I plan to sell one of these and purchase a new one. Can
I still install MS Home and Student Office 2007 into the new one and still be
licensed? Thanks.

I believe the answer is yes, but realistically you should contact Microsoft.
(while these forums are sponsored by Microsoft, Microsoft employees seldom
participate here: they're intended for peer-to-peer support).

I would think you would be OK as long as you removed it from the
computer you were selling.

I know that Adobe products require you to DE-activate on a computer
before you may ACTIVATE on another computer

AFAIK there is no way to "deactivate" a MS product. You simply remove it
and install it on another machine. That's assuming it's a retail copy,
not an OEM copy.
