Lexmark P4350 printer

Found new hardware comes up. Have installed CD but printer and PC cannot
communicate. Says does not detect. Also says device is not configured
correctly Code 1, also says no driver files are required or have been loaded
for this device. Is there a common problem with Lexmark all in one printer
when trying to install from disk. Disk does not fully complete when getting
to last stage which is detect printer. Have used ad wizard and several other
ways of doing this. Any help please.

Did you connect this printer to your PC prior to installing the software?
You MUST install the software first during which you'll be prompted
when to connect it to your PC and when to turn it on.

Have tried this before and tried again tonight. When prompted to plug into
USB I get message from ad wizard saying if I have CD to insert it. It then
says to connect to internet to find software. On doing this it comes up
saying cannot find software. Installing goes through first 3 parts but when
comes to part 4 "detect printer" it misses this and finishes. PC finds new
hardware so how can it not detect printer or communicate with PC when I want
to print. Honestly I have tried everything suggested in all the help pages.
Is this a common problem with all in one printers when using windows XP.

Go to lexmark web site and down load the driver for the printer p4350 and
then try reloading the printer disk it worked for me,it the best printer i
have now with vista
