Lexmark Ink woes

Im having problems with my Lexmark Z42 again.

The color cartridge seems to go about 1/2 way through its ink, then leaks out
in quantity, blocking its jets (Im guessing). There is a bulb of dried ink
that appears to have come out of the jet and clogged it.

This is the 3rd ink cartridge to have done this (always color)

any ideas? This is getting expensive!!

customer support is a complete misnomer.

Do you have the canon I560??

Im sick of this Lexmark. I would NOT recommend lexmark.
I send email to them with the problem, even paraphrase the problem
for a better understanding, and they dont bother to read it.
They just send a stupid link to problem solving.

I get the feeling that the ink cartridges are problematic, and
they are not addressing this. At 35.00 per cartridge, I want them
to last and not leak out or dry up.

I just gave up on my Z53. I've always refilled, but the color
cartridges seem to be getting increasingly problematic. I bought a
Canon i860 from Newegg for $135 and love it. For the first time I am
seriously considering digital photography. The photos this thing
prints look like they came from a processing lab.

I second that. After my Z52 went belly-up. I purchased an i860. I DO
digital photography and now I print out images rather than take them
to the lab. I really like the way that you can clearly see the ink
level and that I don't have to throw away a perfectly good blue ink
tank because the yellow ran out. Plus they hold a lot more ink.

Great printer!!!
