I'm tryin to install a Lexmark printer but this pop up comes up.

"Could not start the Print Spooler service on Local Computer

Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."

What do I do to find/get that file?

16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.com
The NTVDM CPU has encountered and illegal instruction
CS:0101 IP0349 OP: fe ff 00 01 ff choose close to terminate the application

I hit ignore and the bottom numbers and letters change, so I have to close
the box and it closes the command prompt

cmd.com is NOT a Windows file. It might be a trojan.

Delete the cmd.com file from System32 folder. And run a full system virus
scan

Which check, Gary. You just need to delete the cmd.com from your System32
folder.

Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
In the View, tab, uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"

Then, locate the cmd.com and delete it from System32 folder.

I ran a virus check because cmd.com wasn't in that folder.
