Lenght of MPG video clips problem

I just ran into a huge problem and that is that Powerpoint seems to have a
problem with recognising the right length of my MPG clips.
I have a clip that is 3:03 long but PowerPoint thinks it is 2:45 long. When
I play it the clip stops after 2:45.
What can I do to make PowerPoint play all of the clip.

Thanks for you help

If you play it in the MCI media player (start/run mplay32.exe), what
happens? Does it stop after 2:45 there?

It could be a variable bitrate -- I know I saw an audio file where that
caused a similar problem, anyway. Recompressing the file with a nonvariable
bitrate resolved it.

Otherwise, maybe try the things listed at
