Leftovers from Adobe Acrobat in Office cause error

I have removed Adobe Acrobat 5.0 from my PC and now I get errors when
opening and closing Word and Excel.
When opening and closing Word I get a popup saying "Compile error in hidden
module: AutoExec".
When opening Excel I get "Compile error in hidden module: AutoExecNew" and
when closing Excel I get "Compile error in hidden module: DistMon"

It is the latter that to me indicates that it is leftovers from Adobes
Acrobat Distiller Add-ins that causes the annoying popups.

I can not find any references to any Adobe application left, neither in any
file nor in the registry.

Any ideas how to get rid of the annoying popups????

In your XLSTART directory look for a workbook that you did
not put there.
