Leave mail on server AOL

I have 2 AOL addresses, one being my wife's on 2 different computers. On her
Outlook 2003 the save copy on server is working fine, she is using Windows XP
if this makes a difference. On my Outlook 2007 the leave mail on server is
not working. I am using Vista Business. Any help or suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

Are you accessing AOL via POP or IMAP? My understanding is that AOL allows
the latter type of access and in that case, Outlook doesn't delete messages
from the server.

I am using POP3 on both accounts. AOL uses both POP and IMAP.

So, when you open the AOL account properties and check the Advanced tab, the
"Leave copies of messages on the server" option is checked? Have you logged
into AOL via the web interface and looked to see if the messages are truly
gone?

Yes the messages are gone. And the check mark is in the Leave message on
Server Box.
