LCD-DVI connectors

I recently just purchased a LG-L204WT one of the connectors is a DVI-D, my
video card is a BFG 6800GT 256meg AGP with a DIV-I plug. I lead to believe a
this type of cable would work; http://www.datapro.net/products/1142.html

However, I purchased a cable locally an AR Proseries II, DVI cable (sure is
expensive). However, it didn't work. Windows would not even load??? Where
did I go wrong? I reconnected the analog cable and windows loaded fine.

Any suggestion appreciated

What pins are installed in the cable ? There are five figures
here of various pin combinations. (It would be handy if you had
a URL for the AR Proseries II cable.)

Thanks Paul the information you provided supported that I purchased the
correct equipment......the problem had to be something else.....

The problem is fixed!!

What I did......I uninstalled the current video divers, rebooted and used a
driver cleaner. Powered down and connected the cables, rebooted...windows
loaded fine. Reinstalled the video drivers and set up monitor. Now running
1680 x 1050 at 60 Hertz refresh/digital mode. I think what the problem
was...windows device manager had the LCD monitor set as analog (previous
analog cable setup). When I reinstalled the video drivers it set up LCD as
digital.

Currently my only problem is... I paid $80.00 for this 6" cable, what a
rip.....if you're impatient like me...someone could save at least $40.00.

Thanks for the feedback. You would think the first driver compatible
with the card, would have worked with all operating modes of
the card. So now this adds another possible solution for
the next person with this question.
