LCD TV

I bought an LCD TV from newegg and also had to go to the time warner store
and get their high definition box. I noticed there was a dvi connection on
the back of the cable box, so, I bought a dvi cable and hooked it up. Time
Warner gave me cables to make a ypybyg connection (or something like that).

Anyway, so, using the dvi cable seems to be working great and my question is
are the bits sent by the cable company going directly into the tv? In other
words, there is no conversion of digital to analog but just digital going
directly into the tv, is that right?
