hey all
I'm trying to find a freeware conversion program for a .mov to .avi so I
can edit it with my software. I am trying some shareware out but it's
just frustrating me to download, then get nagged for registration before
i press a button.

help:?

Info from an old note file:

web site -- grab it here as part of my "AVI Tools" archive (303k):

Don't forget that the resultant AVI is going to be WAY bigger in
file size than the original MOV file... but if you're like me and
hate MOVs and QuickTime with a vengeance, then go for it! :)

Another alternative for Quicktime files is QT Alternative. I haven't
used it but understand it works as well as Real Alternative. Real
and QT do NOT have to be installed when using 'Alt' codecs.

The main thing is that I have to send a video of my animals doing tricks
to a tv show starting up this fall. I use my digital camera, which only
allows .mov files, obviously for space. They want it in either divx,
mpeg or avi. Thanks for that link. I'll check into it. Maybe for the
2007 nominations, we should consider adding more multimedia tools. :)

Here is your answer:

googol is the number 10 in the power of 100 or a 1 with 100 zeros.

this name was invented by the child (in 1983... far before the internet
existed) of a mathematiction when asked by his father for a name for such a
large number.

GoogolPlex is number 10 in the power of a googol, or
a one with googol zeros behind it.

all the atoms in the known universe are less than one googol

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Googol.
