Given the long delay in loading and displaying an application; why does the
mouse icon not indicate background activity.
I am constantly frustrated by Vista showing NO indication that it is busy
loading the application I have just launched. I click on the Windows Live
Mail shortcut on my Desktop and I wait......
The screen does not move.... the mouse remains an arrow.... still
nothing...
Sometimes, I lose patience before the screen actually displays a 'busy'
mouse icon and I re-launch the shortcut.... still nothing.....
This lack of indication is more pronounced under Vista - as it appears to
take so much longer to launch an application.
Is there any way to tell Vista to indicate 'busy' AS SOON as it embarks on
one of these long, long loads?
