Layout Tables and Cells task pane

When i attempt to draw or create a layout table the "task pane" is non-functional. Tables layouts are greyed out as well as table properties,cell properties etc. Have tried re-installing FP but does not correct the problem.

Sorry, I don't have a solution... although I do have the same problem. Have tried ALL settings and and actions to enable the Layout Tools with no results, i.e., the tools contine to be unselectable-greyed.

I did a FP repair with no results, have checked and posted to this group with no results, checked KB with no results, dasabled all addins with no results. Working on laptop with Windows 2K and Office 2K.

Previous FP install was 2002 with 4 funtional addinns - CodeCharge Studio, AllWebs Menu, Scripting Reference, and FP_Launch_FW (FireWorks image edit launch). I assume CodeCharge and Allwebs were not compatible as they were not enabled on upgrade to FP 2003.

Calvan,
Try turning off "Reveal Tags" then draw your layout tables/cells.
I got it working this way. Then turn back on the tags if you need them.
