How do I get Word to launch a new Word program every time I open a new file.
I'm able to do this on my computer, but not on another computer and don't
know how to activate that feature.

Thanks

If you have Word 2002 or 2003, go to Tools > Options > View and check the
box for "Windows in Taskbar".

When you do this, you aren't really launching a new copy of Word for each
document -- they all share the same piece of code in memory. You're just
seeing each document displayed as a separate window, with its own menus and
toolbars.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/SDIMDI.htm for more explanation.
