I have had someone suggest that I upgrade to IE 6.0.379

I think that I have downloaded and installed everything.

What is the most up-to-date version number

You have the latest released version.
There is a beta version, 6.00.2900.2906, being tested, but it's a beta with
some bugs still to be fixed before release.

You already have the latest version of IE.
The 6.0.37 required a complete system upgrade to Windows Server 2003 as that
is the version that comes with Server 2003.
