Latest update - only 1 IE instance allowed

After installing the latest WIN98 critical updates, I am
unable to start more than one instance of IE
6.0.2800.1106IS. When I right click on a link and
select "Open in New Window", it doesn't. It uses the
existing window, but the back button is disabled as if it
were a new window. When I select a 2nd instance of IE
from the toolbar, it doesn't start a 2nd instance. It
uses the existing instance and goes to my home page.
Again, the back button is disabled as if it were a new
instance.

This is barely usable. There is something wrong with one
or more of these latest updates. I hope MS engineers
browse these newsgroups.

Does anyone have a quick fix ??
