Latest security patches (5) crashes Windows 2000 Pro

I installed the latest 5 patches. Now my computer is in
an endless reboot cycle that wraps as Windows nears
completion and places the background screen on the
display. The event log is showing a DCOM error,
10010, "The server {1BE1F766-5536-11D1-B726-00C04FB926AF}
did not register with DCOM withing the required timeout".

The patch was installed under W2K, SP3. SP4 installation
did not fix it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I know a guy got the same problem after installing the last patches
on Win XP pro... Back to normal by System restore, but Win 2K
don't have system restore.... poor....

What the hell, M$??
